About Me

Rachel, IBCLC and MSW - Arbour Lactation Toronto Home Visits.

Hi, I’m Rachel.

I’m a dedicated lactation consultant and the founder of Arbour Lactation. I started this practice because I believe parents deserve more than textbook answers—they deserve the truth. Learning to feed your baby from your own body involves a steep learning curve and raw effort that often goes unacknowledged.

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and hold a Master of Social Work (MSW). I also spent a cumulative total of over eight years breastfeeding my own three daughters. I blend clinical precision with the specialized empathy of someone who has been in the “thick of it”. My goal is to help you silence the outside noise, let your guard down, and finally exhale.

My Approach

My goal is to strip away the noise so you can find your own rhythm with your baby. I move past the "textbook" answers to create a space where you can be totally real about the rawest parts of your experience—without any outside judgment.

By looking at the science of lactation through the lens of nature, I help you navigate the biological "how" while acknowledging that it doesn't always feel intuitive or easy. I move past the "it’s just natural" myth to focus on the skill-building and persistence required. Whether you’re just starting out or navigating big transitions, I want you to feel grounded, empowered, and like you finally have someone in your corner who truly "gets it."
